Classification of Resistance Materials for 10K Linear Sliding Potentiometer

Carbon Film: Carbon Film is used as resistance film.

Metal Film: Cermet film made of ceramic and metal is used as resistance film.

Wirewound: Resistor made of wire wound. Compared with carbon film or ceramic film, it can withstand higher power.

Construction Classification of 10K Linear Sliding Potentiometer

Rotary: Common form. The usual rotation angle is about 270-300 degrees.

Single-loop: Common form.

Multi-loop type: Used in situations requiring precise adjustment.

Linear sliding type: Usually used in mixers, it is easy to immediately see the volume position and fade in and out control.

Quantitative classification

Single-connection type: A rotating shaft only controls a single potentiometer.

Duplex: Two potentiometers are controlled by the same rotating axis. They are mainly used in two channels and can control two channels at the same time.

Scale Classification of Resistance Change of 10K Linear Sliding Potentiometer

Linear Scale Formula: The change of resistance value is linear with rotation angle or moving distance. This potentiometer is called B-type potentiometer.

Logarithmic scale: The change of resistance value is logarithmic to rotation angle or moving distance. This potentiometer is mainly used for volume control. Among them, the A-type potentiometer is commonly used, which is suitable for situations where the clockwise direction is large and the counterclockwise direction is small. In addition, there is a C-type potentiometer whose logarithmic scale change direction is opposite.          10K linear sliding potentiometers are classified according to the material of resistors

Potentiometers can be divided into two categories: wire-wound potentiometers and non-wire-wound potentiometers according to the material of resistors. Wire-wound potentiometers can also be divided into general-purpose wire-wound potentiometers, precision wire-wound potentiometers, high-power wire-wound potentiometers and pre-adjustable wire-wound potentiometers. Non-wire wound potentiometer can be divided into solid potentiometer and membrane potentiometer. Solid potentiometers include organic synthetic solid potentiometers, inorganic synthetic solid potentiometers and conductive plastic potentiometers. Membrane potentiometers can be divided into carbon film potentiometers and metal film potentiometers.
