Digital adjustable resistor

Adjustable resistance is also called variable resistance. Its English is Rheostat. Digital adjustable resistor is a kind of resistance. The resistance value of adjustable resistance can be adjusted artificially to meet the needs of the circuit.            The adjustable resistance can be divided into many different types and types according to the size of resistance, the range of adjustment, the form of adjustment, the manufacturing process, the material of manufacture, the size of volume, etc. It can be divided into: adjustable resistance of electronic components, adjustable resistance of porcelain disc, adjustable resistance of patch, adjustable resistance of wire winding and so on.            

The nominal value of digital adjustable resistor is that the standard can be adjusted to the maximum resistance value. In theory, the resistance value of adjustable resistor can be adjusted to any value within 0 and nominal value. However, because of the actual structure and design accuracy requirements, it is not easy to reach the "arbitrary" requirement by 100%, but "basically" to adjust within the allowable range, so as to change the resistance value.            

Wiring method of digital adjustable resistor            

There are two types of connection: variable resistance and voltage regulation.            

1. Variable resistance            

The rheostat type is a fixed point connected with 0 bits and another fixed point connected with voltage, so that the adjustable voltage can be output between the fixed point of 0 bits and the movable head.            

2. Voltage regulation            

The voltage regulator is a short connection between the fixed point and the movable head, so that the resistance between the two fixed points can be changed.

The adjustable resistor usually has three terminals, the left and right are fixed, and the resistance between them is the resistance value of the adjustable resistor. The first terminal is the movable arm pin in the middle of the resistor. Its function is to adjust the resistance value. Then the remaining two terminals are connected with the other two pins. Series connection of the two fixed terminals of the adjustable resistor in the circuit can change the resistance value.            Adjustment Method of Digital Adjustable Resistor            

Step one            

Firstly, a screwdriver is inserted into the adjusting port of the resistance. The screwdriver can rotate clockwise or counter-clockwise, and the movies of the resistance will rotate accordingly.            

Step two            

When adjusting clockwise, the resistance between the fixed piece 1 and the fixed piece 2 will increase, and then the resistance between the moving piece and the fixed piece 2 will decrease. When the movable piece slides to the rightmost position, the resistance value between the fixed piece 2 and the movable piece pin is zero, and the resistance value between the fixed piece 1 and the movable piece is the largest.            

Step three            

When the counter-clockwise rotation is adjusted, the length of the resistor between the fixed piece 2 and the film will increase, and the resistance value will also increase. If the length of the resistor between the fixed piece 1 and the movable piece decreases, then the resistance decreases. When the movable plate rotates to the left-most position, the resistance value between the fixed L and the movable pin is zero. The resistance between the chip 2 and the movable pin is the largest, which is equal to the nominal resistance of the adjustable resistor, which means the resistance between the two fixtures.
