Classification:

The rotation angle and output resistance of the multi turn potentiometer are linear, exponential and logarithmic, as shown in the figure. The rotation angle of linear potentiometer has a linear relationship with output resistance, such as line A. It is widely used in current limiting, voltage dividing, timing, impedance matching and other occasions. The rotation angle of the exponential potentiometer is exponentially related to the output resistance (b), which is carefully selected and then roughly adjusted, such as the volume regulated potentiometer. The rotation angle of logarithmic potentiometer is logarithmically related to the output resistance, contrary to exponential potentiometer (c), which is roughly adjusted before fine-tuning, such as contrast-regulated potentiometer.

Characteristic:

The multi-coil multi turn potentiometer has the advantages of high accuracy, good stability, small temperature coefficient, reliable contact, high temperature resistance and strong power load capacity. The disadvantages are that the resistance range is not wide enough, the high frequency performance is poor, the resolution is not high, and the multi turn potentiometer with high resistance is easy to break, the volume is large and the price is high.

Main parameters:

1. Rated power: The maximum power allowed to dissipate on two fixed ends of multi turn potentiometer is rated power of multi turn potentiometer

2. Nominal resistance value: nominal resistance value labeled on product, its series is similar to that of resistance

3. Permissible error grade: the error range between measured resistance value and nominal resistance value can be allowed (+20], +10], +5], +2], +1 according to different precision grade. ] The accuracy of the multi turn potentiometer can reach (+0.1). The variation rule of resistance value refers to the relationship between the contact selection angle of the resistance value year-old scriber.
