The installation of adjustable power resistor should pay attention to the following details:

1. Generally in the potentiometer welding process need not add too much flux, so as not to lead to the potentiometer lead pin end point melting down or welding failure and other phenomena. Therefore, the flux added to the endpoints of the potentiometer is usually the right amount, if not enough, it can be added.

2. After the potentiometer is welded, please do not move or touch the potentiometer's solder joints with your hands immediately, so as to avoid scalding and other accidents. Secondly, the lead solder joints of potentiometers may break off even if there are some small touches before solidification, resulting in unstable and virtual soldering.

3. Usually before the use of adjustable power resistor, attention should be paid to adding a point of lubricant in the potentiometer shaft, the main role of adding lubricant is to prevent the internal metal elements of potentiometers rust, otherwise a long time, will lead to potentiometers appear some fixed and affect the accuracy of potentiometer regulation.

4. In the potentiometer shaft adjustment, please pay attention not to let some impurities and water from the shaft into the potentiometer, otherwise it is very easy to cause the potentiometer failure.

5. The adjustable power resistor has been in use for a long time, it should be carried out regular quality inspection, such as checking whether the shaft handle of the potentiometer is flexible, adjusting without mechanical noise, fixing screw is loose and internal components are aging damage. Otherwise, there is a great potential safety hazard for potentiometers.

When it comes to precision potentiometers, it has many forms and different structures. Because the design of the precision adjustable potentiometers is very exquisite, the following details should be noticed in routine use.

1. The reverse operating force (rotation or sliding) of the precise adjustable potentiometer will become lighter with the increase of temperature and tighter with the decrease of temperature. If the potentiometer is used in low temperature environment, it is necessary to clarify, in order to select special low temperature resistant grease.

2. The precise digital adjustable resistor is used in the voltage adjustment layout, and the connection method should select the "1" foot grounding; the current adjustment layout should be prevented because the touch resistance between the resistance and the touch pad is not conducive to the passage of large current.

3. The appearance of precision adjustable potentiometer should prevent condensation or water droplets, prevent wet local use, to prevent insulation deterioration or short circuit.

4. When fixing nuts, the "rotary" potentiometer should not be too tight to prevent damage to the screw teeth or poor transformation; when installing the "straight-sliding" potentiometer, it should prevent the use of excessive long screws, otherwise it can hinder the sliding handle movement, and even directly damage the potentiometer itself.

5. The design of the precision digital adjustable resistor shaft or sliding handle should be as short as possible. The shorter the length of the shaft or sliding handle is, the better and the feel is. Conversely, the longer the shaking is, the easier the handle will change.

6. In the process of the knob on the sleeve of the precise adjustable potentiometer, the thrust should not be too large, otherwise it will be able to cause damage to the potentiometer.
